SMS consent is collected exclusively in Account Settings → Notifications at myhousekeep.app, after a user has already created an account. It is a separate, standalone action that is never part of account creation, Terms of Service acceptance, or any other agreement.
The user must: (1) enter their phone number, (2) enable the SMS toggle, and (3) check an unchecked-by-default consent checkbox. The Save button is disabled until the checkbox is checked. No consent is collected during account sign-up. The exact consent text is:
"I agree to receive automated maintenance reminder text messages from MyHouseKeep at the number above. Message frequency varies (1–8/month). Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP anytime to unsubscribe. Consent is not required to use MyHouseKeep."
This checkbox is optional and unchecked by default. Users who do not check it will not receive SMS messages. Consent is not a condition of using the service.
Program Description
MyHouseKeep LLC ("MyHouseKeep", "we", "us") operates a text messaging program to send homeowners and renters maintenance reminders and account notifications related to their registered home systems. Messages may include scheduled maintenance alerts, overdue task reminders, and important account updates.

How to Opt In
- Sign in to your account at myhousekeep.app
- Go to Settings → Notifications
- Enter your US mobile phone number
- Enable the "Text message reminders" toggle
- Check the unchecked consent checkbox (required to save)
- Click Save
Consent is collected as a separate, standalone action after account creation. It is never implied by account registration, Terms of Service acceptance, or any other agreement. Consent is not required to use MyHouseKeep. A visual preview of the opt-in form is available at myhousekeep.com/sms-opt-in.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on the maintenance schedule for your registered home systems. You may receive approximately 1–8 messages per month. You can adjust your notification preferences at any time in your account settings.
How to Opt Out
You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message and no further messages will be sent unless you re-enroll. You can also disable SMS notifications in your account settings at myhousekeep.app.

Cost
MyHouseKeep does not charge for text messages. However, message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Contact your carrier for details.
Supported Carriers
Our messaging program is supported by all major US carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, Boost, and others. Carrier support is not guaranteed for all carriers.
Privacy
