Accounts

I requested access. What happens next?

Approval, invitation emails, and getting into your home.

  1. Watch the email address you used to request access. Check your spam folder as well.
  2. An approved account is currently required to create a home. Downloading the app does not automatically approve an account.
  3. When approved, use the App Store link in your approval email to install MyHouseKeep. Then return to the email on your iPhone and tap Set Up My Account. If already installed, go straight to that setup link. If someone invited you to a household, follow their original invitation.
  4. If you still need help, contact support with the email address you used. Never send your password or verification code.

Calendar

Connect or troubleshoot Apple Calendar

MyHouseKeep 1.2: bring selected iPhone calendars into view.

View the connection screen walkthrough →
  1. This feature requires MyHouseKeep 1.2 or later. If your calendar menu does not include Sync Apple Calendar, check your installed version and available updates.
  2. Open the calendar’s three-dot menu and choose Sync Apple Calendar. Allow calendar access when asked.
  3. Choose the calendars you want to display and save your choices. If none appear, check that your calendar account is available in the iPhone Calendar app.
  4. If access was denied, open iPhone Settings and review MyHouseKeep’s Calendar permission. Return to MyHouseKeep and check again.
  5. These events are read-only and only on your iPhone. Edit the original event in Apple Calendar; MyHouseKeep refreshes when changes are detected or you return to the app.

Reminders

A reminder did not arrive

Check app preferences, iPhone permissions, and delivery settings.

  1. Open MyHouseKeep’s notification settings and check that the reminder type you want is enabled. Confirm its day, time, and your home’s time zone.
  2. In iPhone Settings, check Notifications for MyHouseKeep and allow notifications.
  3. Check whether Focus or Scheduled Summary is delaying or silencing an alert. Confirm the phone has a network connection.
  4. For email reminders, check your email preference and spam folder. Optional email reminders are separate from account and security emails.
  5. If it happens again, report the reminder name and the expected date, time, and time zone. Do not include sensitive calendar details you do not want to share.

Sharing

Invite someone or find household access

Give each person their own account and access to the right home.

  1. Use the household sharing controls in the app to create an invitation link. Share it with the intended person.
  2. The recipient opens the link, uses their own account, and chooses whether to join. Do not share your password.
  3. Check that both people are viewing the same home and that calendar member filters are not hiding the plans they want to see.
  4. If an invitation has expired, ask the sender for a fresh link. Personal Apple Calendar events are not shared household events.

Home care

Get started with systems and maintenance

Start small and build up a useful record.

  1. Add a system you know, such as heating and cooling or a familiar appliance. Save available model information.
  2. Review the suggested care and manufacturer instructions. Choose the reminders that fit your home.
  3. Record work after it is completed so the history reflects what actually happened.
  4. For safety-critical work or a problem you cannot identify confidently, contact a qualified professional.

Plus

Plus, restoring purchases, or PDF exports

Find your plan, restore access, and manage an Apple subscription.

  1. Open Plus in the app to see current availability, plan details, and Apple’s displayed price. PDF reports and calendar printing require Plus.
  2. If you already purchased, use Restore purchases while signed in to the Apple account used for the purchase.
  3. Manage or cancel an Apple subscription through your Apple account’s subscription settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
  4. If access still looks wrong, contact support. Do not send payment card details or your Apple account password.
